Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Update

Skydance Paramount will start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 positions in the United States as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose complete information during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Prior news stated that Paramount aimed to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

Until December 2024, Paramount retained almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
